SAT阅读考试中常见3种修辞讲解

摘要：SAT阅读的难点之一就是有很多修辞手法，小站君今天为大家讲解三个重要的修辞。

修辞手法除了出现在literature、Science文章里，还会出现在新SAT阅读中的历史性文章中，演讲者或者作者会使用一定的修辞(Rhetoric)，以及Persuasive Language. 下面重点讲解三点修辞。

1. Rhetorical Emphasis

定义：(用修辞手法去强调)为了强调某个点而使用的方法，比如重复某个单词或句子，或者排比使用相同意思的词组，比如使用设问，或者使用重复性的句子结构

例子：Were the original documents provided? No. Were uncensored copies provided? No. Was any reasonable effort made to share key information about the contents of the documents? No. Each and every request for additional information was totally and completely ignored.

2. Juxtaposition(并列)

定义：把两个相反、相对比的事物并排放在一块，以强调某种事物。

例子：In the shadow of scrap-heaps piled high with the discarded luxuries of the world’s richest economies, there live and work some of the poorest people in the developing world.

3. Analogies(类比)

定义：In addition to using devices like metaphors and similes, the speaker or author in a Historical passage might employ analogies to compare the relationships between different sorts of things. Unlike metaphors and similes, however, analogies are often used to imply that if the things being compared are alike in some ways, they may also be alike in other ways. Analogies can also be used to make complex ideas easier to understand.

例子：The government is like a pair of work boots: it protects us from injury and discomfort, but only if it is properly fitted. A pair of work boots which is too large or too small may do more harm than goo, and had better be replaced.
