本文中所提到的技巧适用于目标想在SAT批判性阅读部分拿到400-650分的学生。对于SAT新手以及只是简单想提高成绩的考生来说，双篇阅读题是一项令人畏怯的艰难挑战。在长篇阅读题中有很多观点和详细说明，而偏偏最难的问题也出现在双篇阅读部分，考生们经常对这部分束手无策。

幸运的是， SAT阅读部分是机械化结构，双篇阅读题通常可清晰地分为三类：

约1/3的 问题是关于文章一的；

约~1/3的问题是关于文章二的；

约1/3的问题是关于文章一、二两者综合的。

以下是帮助你应对双篇阅读题的五个极其简单但却十分实用的技巧策略：

先读第一篇文章；

回答有关第一篇文章的问题；

再读第二篇文章；

回答有关第二篇文章的问题；

最后解决和两篇文章均有关的难题。

Test Strategies: SAT Paired Passages Beginner Strategy

This SAT strategy is aimed at students scoring 400-650 on the SAT Critical Reading section. If you are new to the SAT, or are simply struggling with raising your score, then the paired passages can be a terrifying challenge. Typically, the most difficult questions appear during the paired passages and students are always unsure how to handle these complex assignments, given the many viewpoints and details mentioned throughout the long readings.

Luckily, the SAT is structured in a very robotic way. Notably, the paired passages always divide their questions into clear categories.

~1/3 of the questions will be only about Passage 1.

~1/3 of the questions will be only about Passage 2.

~1/3 of the questions will be about both Passages 1 and 2.

The following five-step strategy is very simple, but is extremely effective at helping students handle the difficult paired passages.

Read Passage 1

Answer the questions that are specifically about Passage 1

Read Passage 2

Answer the questions that are specifically about Passage 2

Answer the difficult questions that are about both Passages 1 and 2

Many students may have heard this basic strategy before, but it is important to understand why this strategy helps you. Unfortunately, the makers of the SAT are actively trying to trick you with every question. This means that they are trying to confuse you when they give you a set of paired passages. By answering the questions for each passage separately, you focus your mind on each passage as you are answering, and thus minimize how often you are ‘tricked.’ Simply put, by focusing your mind on one passage at a time, you will make fewer stupid mistakes.
