在可汗阅读历史类篇章Benjamin 于1787年的Constitutional Convention上发表的演讲中有出现，如下：
For having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions even on important subjects, which I once thought right, but found to be otherwise.
在文学类篇章Jane Austin 的NorthAnger Abbey中有如下句子：
They saw nothing of Mr. Allen; and after looking about them in vain for a more eligible situation, were obliged to sit down at the end of a table, at which a large party were already placed, without having anything to do there, or anybody to speak to, except each other.
/在这两个句子中，都有一个共同的词组feel / be obliged to do sth. 该词组意为被迫做某事
eg. I am much obliged to you for helping us.
eg. I'd be glad to oblige.
eg. Would you oblige me with some information?
